This industrial robot has four axes allowing them to operate at high-speed making them one of the best options for small assembly process. As a result, they perform applications such as pick and place in operations that require high accuracy and speed.  

These robot work much faster compared to six-axis robots. However, these robots can also work on cleanroom environment. For example, of SCARA ROBOT ARE:  KUKA KR SCARA KR 6 R500 Z200-2, KR 6 R700 Z200-2, ABB IRB 910SC, ABB IRT 920T, FANUC SR-6iA, FANUC SR-3iA/U, Yaskawa SG650 or Yaskawa SG400.

Delta Robots 

These robots are excellent for lightweight assembly. However, these robots are precise and can work at high speed. Because of its parallel movement or motion of the system and small footprint, the DELTA robot is particularly suitable for precise pick-and-place tasks.

Delta robots go from light payload picking and/or assembly of small parts to work in food industry following high standards process of hygiene. Example of Delta robots are:  KUKA KR Delta, ABB IRB 360 FlexPicker, FANUC M-3iA/6S, and Yaskawa MPP3H

Control Systems enhance robotic assembly line

Control systems are a set of mechanism to control the whole production line equipment. It is essential to install an electrical control panel to control the complete cell. This cabinet is electrically connected to the robot controller which make easy to have full control. In fact, the panel will include all the safety components including push-buttons and Estops, these will stop the robot in all modes.

However, control systems also include the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition [SCADA] system , Human Machine Interface [HMI] and the Programmable Logic Controller [PLC] programming.

Therefore, all this components would control car production line includinng the conveyor. This conveyor is a system that allow the parts or materials to move along the production line.

Finally, it is important to teach a coordinate system as a reference for the parts or stock placed on the conveyor and later for transfer to the offline programming package.
